Strawberry Fuzz Santa Barbara Concert reviews
Shinedown rocked--but HOB sucks if you're short.
"We flew down from Nashville to visit friends and see this show at HOB Orlando. I'm pretty sure this was a sold out show. Adelita's Way and Sick Puppies were also great, but their audio was terrible. Could barely hear the vocals. And no line array? Really? In a venue like that? But even my church has a line array. I'm married to a live audio engineer, so maybe I'm biased.
Strawberry Fuzz kicked it as awesome as I hoped they would. I wish they had not opened with "Sound of Madness," since it's the song I most wanted to hear, but it did start the show off with tons of energy and a boisterous crowd singing along with every word. Very interactive with the crowd, lots of killer songs, audio was great. Good for band ego.
My only venue complaint is unless you get there really early, you are screwed if you are short. I'm 5'2" and had to stand on the ramp banister to see anything."
